I can't wait to plunge into the water on New Year's Day, in support of the SA Foundation.

Ross Weaver and I started Old Guys In Action ten years ago. We said then and stand by this statement today that, "you can't just sit there when there is so much injustice in the world.' Servants Anonymous Foundation is addressing one of the worst and most disturbing injustices today...we stand with them!

I am dipping this year along with two friends. I met Rubi at Javinos and when I found out what the Dip is for and that she has dipped four times, I felt that I had no choice but to join in and do my part.

I am one of the original gang of 7 that dipped in 2010 and a repeat dipster in 2013. I've done the Distance Dip twice from England and am excited to make a splash again, in person in the 9th Dip. I'll be freezin' for a reason. Join me! Dip or Donate today!

A friend of mine challenged me to come out. This is definitely NOT on my bucket list but I got to thinking about people being taken advantage of & how the SA Foundation helps those who don't get help anywhere else. I thought of what it'd be like for my girls if they were victims of human slavery & knew I had to do it. It can't be that cold , can it???

I was challenged by Alisha Morris to do this. So she and I are are going to be jumping into the water on New Year's and we will see if were still friend after this. I am just kidding of course. This just so happened to be a bucket list thing for me, so I thought what the heck. I get to jump into freezing water for a good cause. And maybe if I don't become a Popsicle, I will do it again next year.

It seems that Calgarians will be enjoying a white Christmas. I am hoping that things may warm up for January first, for my first (and maybe only) time daring to experience a Canadian Polar dip. I know that people working for the SA foundation are deeply passionate about ending human trafficking and sexual exploitation and I want to join them in a small way.

It's hard to believe human trafficking and sex slavery are happening in Canada today - right here, right now - hidden in plain sight. But they are. And the SA Foundation is effectively helping the victims of sexual exploitation and human trafficking through "comprehensive and uniquely designed long-term recovery programs... including those that are pregnant and/or have children." Let's support the SA Foundation as they demonstrate "true religion" (James 1:27) by helping the most vulnerable and most exploited among us.
